Pal has a busier feel in general due to the traffic, but it's definitely quieter. Both have a decent choice of restaurants and more laid back bars.
Away from the ski slopes, Pal Arinsal (and Andorra!) offers plenty of exciting alternative ways to entertain yourself. A visit to Andorra la Vella, Andorra's capital, should be on your list - ideal for some duty free shopping! Whilst there, taking your swimming costume and visit the famous Caldea Spa for the ultimate relaxation. Pal Arinsal is ideal for family skiing! Not only is Andorra a warm and welcoming country, the hotels, ski schools and resort in general are perfectly suited for a family skiing holiday. It's also one of the best value ski resorts in Europe. There are plenty of very well run childcare options for younger children and for older children and teenagers there are specific age orientated ski lessons.
Although Andorra enjoys plenty of sunshine, the snow records are very good owing to the high altitude of the resorts. Pal Arinsal has much of the skiing over 1800m and also benefits from a very extensive and efficient network of artificial snow making facilities.

The season tends to begin in either late November or early December and finishes around the beginning or middle of April.
